Macau-Hong Kong Birthday Trip Day 2 -Part 2-

As the sky turned dark, we decided to move up... up to Victoria's Peak.. We took the bus all the way up, since it was kinda foggy so no point taking the cable car up since you can't see anything..

Our first stop at the peak~~ Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum...

Behold, wax figures!!

Louis Koo!!! My all time idol.. He has now changed his career path to movies than series, but he is still one of my idols!! and Aaron Kwok, I actually wanted to synchronise the direction of our glances but hp says it doesn't matter..

President Obama oversees me signing a contract but I decided to pose for the camera first.. People from the US, remember to vote!!

After being with the President of the United States.. I shall settle with the Royal Majesty of England. Boy, am I busy~~

Still in England, meet Cedric Diggory!!

Then we move to another English Heartthrob, David Beckham..

The Beatles~~ Na na... Na na na na..... Na nanana.. Hey Jude~~~ I always thought that this was cookie monster's song, called Hey Food... go youtube it!!

Hey there, Bond.

Being Astro Boy's sidekick was never easy.. but at least I could get him to pose with me for the camera~ *smirks*

I wonder, what's the view like from up there~~~~

I always wondered what was for breakfast in Breakfast at Tiffany's.. Well, it was coffee and pastries..

I was still hungry so I went to Makdao's char chan teng (Coffee shop/Cafe) and had milk tea with Polo Buns~~ ^.^v

Hey ya, Captain Jack Sparrow!

Testing~~ Testing.. Twins, 1,2,3...

Well, there were a lot more wax figurines around.. but I ran out of captions.. sorry~~

After the was museum, we had dinner and tried our luck with the night scenery but it was foggy and kinda cold.. Oh well... down we go...

We missed our stop at Central Bus stop, so we got down at the Central pier instead.. it was the last stop anyway.. and took the ferry back to Kowloon..

As you can see, it was foggy...

Here's some night scenery from the ferry...

 That's all for day 2~~

Day 3 is when I fulfill my childhood dreams...

 Stay tuned!!

Signing off!! Toodles!

Macau-Hong Kong Birthday Trip Day 2 -Part 1-

Waking up and realising you're are in HK is a GREEEEEAT feeling!!! I am not sure about you, I really love HK!! well, like K-pop fans love Korea... except, I don't love just for the entertainment industry.. I love every single thing on it... and the main thing that differs me from crazy fans is that I don't expect to bump into any celebrities on the road.. I love HK even though the celebrities don't walk out on the roads~~

Alright, done expressing.. Back to the story.. We woke up early... around 7am... head off for breakfast...
Hopped on the MTR, that was our main transport through out the whole trip.. It is a shame that Malaysia does not have such public transportation system.. It will really pull tourists... and wipe of their impression and fear of being conned by taxi drivers...

It was pretty chilly... the 4 days we spent in HK, it was around 12-14 degrees... chilly but not freezing cold.. I love it!!!! Ok, fine whatever they have there, I just love everything!!!!

What's for breakfast???
You're in HK for god's sake... Ain't it the best time for DIMSUM!!!!!
Yeee-haaaa...

We were searching for a restaurant that was introduced in HP's travel guide but when we reach there, it looks empty, the ground floor was a foyer with a few trolleys with several baskets of dimsum on them... we wandered around the waiters just ignored us.. we tried going upstairs but it was dark.. like a haunted restaurant.. so fine.. we left the place.. since there is no way you can't find a dimsum restaurant in HK... and we're in Mongkok!! there's loads of them... so, we went in another restaurant... and fulfill the dimsum craving~~

The name of the restaurant, in case you're wondering..

Bat Bou zhuk

top left: har gau, top right: Lau sar pau (oooo... I loved this!!!), bottom: fuchuk

See the prawn in the har gau???

Siew mai!!

I am not a fussy eater so whatever I eat, it will be ok... when I say something does not taste good, it means it is really bad!!! Note: my tolerance level is very high~~
well, the breakfast was superb!!!! extra points were given because I am in HK... ok, if i ever say this again, i'll be thrown with whatever people could grab within an arm stretch...

We decided to explore HK island today, so our first stop is to Stanley!!!

On the way to the Central Bus Stop, HP wanted to pose but I didn't realise that... I was actually focusing on the camera man..

Sigh, seeing video cameras and production crew makes me miss the production field... Did I make a wrong choice leaving???

On the bus to Stanley!!!!

There was a girl gossiping about her office on the phone sitting behind us... I was eavesdropping throughout the whole journey =P
It was not entirely my fault, ok?? She talked loud enough for me to hear and there was nothing else to do on the bus...

We're here!!!!!

I found the ties that my bro have always wanted right after I got of the bus!! SEE, how can I not love this place?? My bro has been looking for narrow ties for a long time.. but they are too expensive for him to afford.. the ones that my dad wears are thick and uncle-like according to him, he wants the narrow kind.. Sigh, my bro is vain-er than me... anyway, i got the ties 30HKD for 2... bought him a light coloured one and a dark coloured one..

Then I found a pouch... salmon pink!! but it was quite expensive.. i have been looking for a pouch that could fits my cards and phone all in one.. so that I can just carry that out instead of bringing a handbag... anyway.. I managed to haggle and oh-great-i-forgot-how-much-i-paid...

After Stanley, we were planning to go to see people "da siu yan" but we could not find the stop for it.. after a while we decided to just hop of Queen East road.. and found Hennessy Road which will lead to "Ngor Geng Bridge", the place where you see people "da siu yan" but we decided to just walk around Queen East Road and found Causeway Bay~~ Shop Shop Shop...

We had lunch at McD... ordered pork patty muffin.. It tasted more or less like or breakfast muffin... but it is still nice!! and you know why~~

The scene while munching my muffin~~ ladies and gentlemen, behold causeway bay~~

After lunch, we hopped on a "ding ding"(densha) and round the HK city centre...

Where we hopped off~~ Reminds me of the song by Twins 下一站~天后...
在百德新街的爱侣~面上有种顾盼自傲~在台上任我唱~未必风光更好~游戏不过肥皂泡~HOU~~~

After that, we wanted to walk the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System... However, the escalator was under maintenance.. and we wanted to save our energy to reach higher grounds.. so we head back to the bus stop...

STay tune for what happens next...

Till then
Signing off~~~

Macau-Hong Kong Birthday Trip Day 1

I finally have the mood to blog about my HK-Macau Trip.. which was approximately 6 months ago.. before I start forgetting, which I already have, I better start writing...

It started out early morning... My dad dropped us at 7 in the morning.. whilst our flight was at 12pm.. we hung around in LCCT.. had breakfast.. and it was not that hard to pass time.. just before we knew it, it was time for boarding~~ Weeee!!!

Our flight was supposingly smooth until they were nearing the Macau International airport, this is the typical so near yet so far.. I saw the airport through my window and thinking that we were just minutes away from landing.. but... the next time i look out of the window, it was white... Okaaay, either the Macau International airport is white and fluffy or WE ARE STILL NOT LANDING!!! and my second guess was right, I should not have second guesses.. The pilot announced that the weather was quite bad and they could not land.. so they will have to make a detour to Hong Kong and then turn back when the weather permits...

WHAT THE HECK are you talking about??!! I have made an appointment with oolongtea and friends that I will meet them somewhere near my hotel in HK at 7pm.. I was supposed to be landing at 4 something and hopefully reach HK by 6pm.. however.... due to unforeseen circumstances, I am not going to be landing on time!! without any communication device, how am I suppose to let people know that I will be late??!!

On a wild chance, could I just get off at HK since we are going there anyway.. and that, we could also save on the taxi fare to the ferry jetty and the ferry fare as well... Heeee....

Fat chance~~~

But anyway, i guess a bit of birthday luck helped, somehow... i heard the pilot's voice again... and he said we will be turning back to Macau and will be LANDING on Macau!!!! YAY!!! okay, we are an hour behind schedule.. but at least we landed on Macau instead of being stranded in HK on the airplane... That's is a relief..

We got off the plane... went through all the necessary procedures and off to hire a cab to the jetty... and at the jetty.. we were actually minutes before the 6pm ferry.. it was 5.50 or something and they would not let us on.. oh well, no point pushing, so we took the 6.30 ferry... and waited patiently at the waiting room...

That's the sign welcoming me on board..

We even get to watch TV, but I was seasick (i have no idea why) to enjoy TVB shows...

And that's Sands, Macau... I will be back soon~~ but now, HK comes first...

And then, we reached HK an hour later, at 7.30pm... hired another cab to get to the hotel near the Jordan station, which luckily I have researched it through google map and was somewhat familiar with the surroundings.. so lucky we found our hotel within minutes... ^.^v

I tried to call oolongtea at the hotel and luckily i got through... she told me that they were waiting at a restaurant in tsim sha tsui and gave me directions... so after dumping my luggage, we head straight out to tsim sha tsui...

I know i said i got directions... which i conveniently forgotten half of it... so I was peering around until i thought this will not work so i head back to the station to get a sim card and wanted to call again.. after getting the simcard, i head back into the building and coincidently bumped into oolongtea on the way!!! talking about fate!!! and we finally get to have our dinner... thanks to oolongtea~~ It was her treat!!!

From left, panpan, qingqing and oolongtea~~ All from SWFC...

After dinner, they brought us to another shop for dessert... which was when I learned that these HK-ies actually enjoys durian!!! qingqing looked at the menu and asked if I eat durian.. I was stunned for a moment because I never expect people from other country fancied durians.. then oolongtea said that my kampung was the land of durians.. i wont wanna come over to HK for durians~~ well, she was right.. hehehe... the durians here are waaaaay better and having an aunty who used to own a durian plantation, I always had the best.. *beams*

This was HP's ginger tong yuen~~ mine is at the top right, honeydew sago~~ I didnt bother to photograph it.. so that's the most of it... =P

Apparently the shop was recently opened and they had a promotion, we get discounts!!

After that, we parted because the others have work to do the next morning... so we strolled TST and then off to Temple street... They were closing so HP have quite a good deal for a bag.. so much for our first day..

Then, we finally get to lay flat....

 Stay tune~~
till god knows when I have the mood again to continue..
till then...
Toodles!!
